SEND FITNESS PROGRAMME
THE PROGRAMME
This programme provides funded places within our existing kids fitness classes for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) who may not otherwise be able to access regular sessions due to financial barriers or additional support needs.
Rather than running separate sessions, participants join our normal kids classes, with appropriate support and adaptation from coaches.
Our focus is on:
Inclusive participation in real classes
Building confidence through movement
Supporting physical and social development
Ensuring no child is excluded due to cost or need
WHO IS IT FOR?
-
This support is for children and young people who:
Have special educational needs and/or disabilities
Would benefit from structured physical activity
May not be able to access sessions due to financial barriers
Need additional support to participate in group classes
We support a wide range of needs including:
Autism spectrum conditions
Learning disabilities
Sensory processing differences
Additional or complex needs
-
This applies to our existing kids class age groups (typically 6–12 years)
-
No experience is required.
All sessions are scalable and coached so that every child can participate at their own level, regardless of ability or confidence.
-
Participants joining through funded places will receive:
Coaching within normal class structure
Scaled and adapted movements where needed
Extra encouragement and guidance
Small-group awareness from coaches
A supportive and inclusive environment
Where needed, we can discuss additional support before the first session to help with transition.
